Relive the magic of six of the best sessions at NOAH's 10th National Conference

Keynote Presentation: Albinism and Advocacy

People with albinism and the parents of children with albinism are often called upon to advocate for themselves or their children. A panel of NOAH veterans share their thoughts on how the albinism community advocates for itself. Perspectives include that of a teen with albinism, adults with albinism, parents of children with albinism and the role NOAH plays in advocating for the albinism community. (Available in VHS Only, 1 hr 53 minutes)

Keynote Address: Current Issues in Albinism Research

This keynote session brings together the luminaries in the field of albinism research. The doctors discuss information learned since 2002, their current projects and what is in store for the future.

Albinism and Vision: Seeing Things in Our Own Way

Have you ever wondered exactly what's different about your eyes? Do the explanations the doctors give you leave you confused about what your child actually sees? Are you frustrated that you can't explain how you see to others? At “Seeing Things Our Way”, we take a complete look at how eyesight is different when you have albinism, including the physiological differences, what we actually see in the real world with a low vision simulation, and how you can see more with the vision you have.

Ask the Doctors

A panel discussion by the top scientists in the field of albinism research.

Misconceptions v. Reality: Driving with Low Vision and Bioptic Telescopic Lens Systems

This presentation by Chuck Huss, C.O.M.S. addresses aspects of driving with low vision and bioptics oftentimes misunderstood or taken for granted; yet which play an important role in collision free driving. Information is presented from various perspectives including but not limited to clinical low vision, vision rehabilitation, driver education training and assessment, and driver testing .

Albinism and the Cinema
