The albinism educational video "Albinism, The People, The Challenge", is for sale by mail order. The video was produced by NOAH and Chip Curry, owner of Chrysalis Films.
The primary focus of the 25 minute video is to show individuals and families with albinism as they engage in daily activities in the U.S. or attend a NOAH conference. Various aspects of albinism including genetics; oculocutaneous, ocular and HPS albinism; social and emotional issues; people of color with albinism; education; sports; driving; careers; advocacy; shopping; sun protection; low vision aids; etc., are introduced and briefly discussed.
The video is well done and provides basic information about albinism. It is suitable as an addition to a personal, family or professional video library; a gift to friends and relatives; a prize at an albinism related fundraising event; a donation to a public, school or medical library; or as a presentation tool for parents, teachers, social workers, genetics counselors, doctors, etc. All proceeds are to be used by the National Organization for Albinism and Hypopigmentation to enhance albinism education and awareness
