The sessions below were created with our NOAH kids & parents in mind. We also encourage you to check out more educational sessions and exciting opportunities for family members of all ages to connect:


Thursday

Kids Welcome!

Kids Welcome Session
11:30am – 12:30pm PT (2:30pm – 3:30pm ET)
Join us for a welcome session with more information on upcoming activities and opportunities to connect virtually.
This session is recommended for children with albinism and other NOAH kids in grades 1-6.

Kids: All About Albinism

All About Albinism for Kids – Genetics, the Eye and Sun Protection
12:45pm – 1:45pm PT (3:45pm – 4:45pm ET)
This informative session, geared towards children with albinism in grades 3-6, will allow students to learn accurate information about albinism along with their peers. Age-appropriate basic explanations of the genetics of albinism, vision of people with albinism and the importance of sun protections will be provided by a team of doctors.
This session is recommended for children with albinism and other NOAH kids in grades 3-6.

Parents Social Hour

Parents Social Hour
4:00pm – 5:00pm PT (7:00pm – 8:00pm ET)
Join us for a relaxed discussion with fellow parents who just get it!


Friday

Ask the Doctors: Parents & Family

Ask the Doctors: Parents and Family
11:30am – 12:30pm PT (2:30pm – 3:30pm ET)
In this session geared to parents and grandparents of children with albinism, a panel of top scientists in the field of albinism research will be available to answer your questions and satisfy your thirst for knowledge about albinism.
This session is moderated by Donna Appell, RN.

BINGO

BINGO
1:00pm – 1:30pm PT (4:00pm – 4:30pm ET)
Join us for a fun game of BINGO geared towards our 1st and 2nd graders. Print-outs for BINGO boards and pieces will be provided ahead of time!
This session is recommended for children with albinism and other NOAH kids in grades 1-2.

Trivia & Scavenger Hunt

Kids Trivia and Scavenger Hunt
1:45pm – 2:15pm PT (4:45pm – 5:15pm ET)
Calling all kids! Join us for a fun virtual hangout with your NOAH friends, featuring trivia, a scavenger hunt, and lots of laughs and smiles.
This session is recommended for children with albinism and other NOAH kids in grades 3-4.

Star Wars Trivia

Star Wars Trivia
2:30pm – 3:15pm PT (5:30pm – 6:15pm ET)
Defenders of the galaxy, you won’t want to miss this fun trivia session geared towards 5th and 6th graders. Join us as we reveal the Star Wars trivia champion among us!
This session is recommended for children with albinism and other NOAH kids in grades 5-6.


Saturday

Story Time with the Author

Story Time with the Author!
11:30am – 12:30am PT (2:30pm – 3:30pm ET)
Kids grades 1-6 will have the exciting opportunity to attend a reading by the author of a beloved book. Reading selections are as follows:
Grades 1-2
“Claude: The True Story of a White Alligator” by Emma Bland Smith
Grades 5-6
“A Blind Guide to Stinkville” by Beth Vrabel
Grades 3-4

“Spotless” by Kate Hancock


This session is recommended for children with albinism and other NOAH kids in grades 1-6.


Sunday

Kids Ask a Teen with Albinism

Kids Ask a Teen with Albinism
10:00am – 11:00am PT (1:00pm -2:00pm ET)
A talkative team of teens with albinism will tell their tales. This session will be an opportunity for kids to quiz a panel of high school aged people with albinism about their experience living with albinism.

Kids Ask an Adult with Albinism

Kids Ask an Adult with Albinism
11:30am – 12:30pm PT (2:30pm – 3:30pm ET)
A panel of adults with albinism who are willing to tell it like it is will take questions from kids. This promises to be a lively, informative and wide-ranging discussion of interesting topics.
