Inspired by our early pandemic “Social Distancing with Friends” series, as well as the heart-warming connections created during #VirtualNOAHCon2020, NOAH has been offering virtual opportunities for our community to connect through NOAH Connections for nearly 6 years! As we approach 2026, we’re excited to share an updated approach — designed to make it easier than ever to connect, learn, and build meaningful relationships within the albinism community.

Whether you’re returning or joining for the first time, we’d love to have you be part of NOAH Connections in 2026.

To receive invitations and reminders in 2026, everyone must sign up – including returning participants. This helps us send you the most relevant updates and ensure you’re included in the calls that matter to you. Sign up below for NOAH Connections

After you sign up:

  • Join virtual gatherings on Zoom, unless otherwise noted

Aging with Albinism

Doctors with Albinism

Doctors with Albinism is a supportive global community of physicians with albinism who meet monthly to share experiences and nurture and mentor each other. At this time, the group is only open to those that are either attending or completed medical school.

Are you an adult PWA (18+) who loves to read? Join us for NOAH Book Club! Get a copy of our current reading material, and join us to discuss.

Parents and Caregivers of Newly-Diagnosed Children & Young Children with Albinism

This workshop, hosted by Megan Pitt, LMHC-D, will provide an opportunity for parents whose children have been newly diagnosed, or who are still in the early years of parenting to join a community that will share and learn about adapting to the new role of a parent of a child with albinism. The workshop will provide tools and strategies that will assist parents while providing a space to discuss concerns and gain support from a community of parents that truly understand. We will discuss the common challenges and struggles parents may face and provide a guide to managing them while providing the best possible support for your child.

About Megan Pitt, LMHC-D

Megan Pitt, LMHC-D is a NYS Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a graduate of the University at Buffalo and Fordham University. Megan currently resides in NYS with her husband and two sons. Megan’s oldest son has Albinism. Megan currently owns her own private counseling practice. She manages NOAH’s New Parent Program in addition to being a regular workshop presenter, and is a Tele-Support group facilitator for The Lighthouse Guild.

Seeing Beyond: Pediatric Eye Care Professionals

Join Drs. Thomas Porter, Katherine Kindle, and Halle Neyens as they answer your questions about Pediatric Eye Care!

Meet our panel:

Dr. Thomas Porter is an Associate Professor and Director of Low Vision Services at Saint Louis University’s department of ophthalmology. He also serves as an Assistant Professor at the University of Missouri College of Optometry. For his entire 44 year career, Dr. Porter has limited his practice to patients with low vision such as albinism. His clinic sees in excess of 1,000 low vision patients each year. Dr. Porter has also served as a clinical consultant to several manufacturers of low vision aids as well as a medical advisor to the Vision Council of America.

Dr. Halle Neyens grew up in Iowa and attended the University of Iowa for her bachelor’s degree. She graduated from the University of Missouri – St. Louis with her doctorate of optometry and now serves as a pediatric optometrist at SLUCare Physician Group. She has two daughters and lives in St. Louis City with her husband in a 130-year old home they rehabbed. In her spare time, she likes to read and explore St. Louis restaurants. 

Dr. Katherine Kindle is an ophthalmologist who specializes in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus (crossed eyes) for patients of all ages. She provides comprehensive eye care, specifically the medical and surgical management of eye disorders commonly found in children. Some of these eye disorders may include childhood and adult strabismus; nasolacrimal duct obstruction; pediatric cataracts; and ptosis.


Albinism Gaming Chat

Adults with albinism – join Shawn Wilt Sr. to chat about all things gaming!

Shawn Wilt Sr. is an adult with albinism who has a home based business building custom made high-end work and gaming PC’s for people. Additionally, he writes code & creates mods for PC based games. As a avid, lifelong gamer, if there is a game be it video games, tabletop gaming, RPG gaming, card games, board games he has probably played it. Shawn has a passion for gaming and making gaming more accessible to anyone with disabilities, but especially for those with visual impairments.
